最近关于公布嫦娥月球探测卫星公布的第一副图是否抄袭以及是否有拼接错误的讨论很多。笔者也看到有许多网友质疑为何嫦娥公布的第一幅图的拍摄月面区域与美国的相同（比如大士的《对质疑绕月卫星发回的月球地貌照片的一点想法》）。 其实这些朋友可能没有注意到一点就是，美国在之前的月球探测中（比如Clementine探测器）已经拍摄了整个月球表面的照片，因此嫦娥无论公布哪个区域都会能找到美国拍摄过的照片的。就是在Clementine探测器的网站上（http://astrogeology.usgs.gov/Projects/Clementine/）也已经很明确提到了这一点：“The Clementine spacecraft successfully mapped the Moon with 4 cameras (UVVIS 415-1000nm; NIR 1100-2789 nm; HI-RES 415-750 nm; LWIR 9 microns) over the period February through May 1994. Using the UVVIS and NIR cameras the entire Moon was mapped at a resolution of 125-250 m/pixels. ” 请注意，已经是拍摄了整个月球的照片(the entire Moon)，分辨率是125-250米/像素。 此外网站上还提到了” In addition to the multispectral mapping cameras the Clementine spacecraft also carried a laser altimeter. The laser altimetry data will make possible the first ever uniform global lunar topographic map.” 再次提到使用激光高度仪测量的数据可以制作月球全球地形图(global lunar topographic map)。 因此说，美国已经拍摄了全月球的照片(并且已经公布)，嫦娥拍摄美国没有公布照片的月球照片是不可能的。其实在http://www.lpi.usra.edu/resources/cla/maps/thumbs/，http://www.mapaplanet.org/explorer/moon.html ，甚至Google Moon上都可以看到月球的全球照片。这些照片在不同年代，由不同的方法拍摄的。
